...How is the finish working out for you so far?

I'm considering picking up a Monarchy Majesty in the near future and I'm trying to decide on one with the new black matte finish or the regular chrome finish. I've had very bad experiences with boutique finishes in the past; The oils in my hands tend to eat right through gold finishes like nobody's business. I was just wondering how the new matte black finish holds up to a serious workload. I've found very little information on the new hardware colour, the process used to bond it to the metal, what it's made of, etc.. I'm mostly worried about the long-term effects of friction. Matte or satin finishes tend to get really shiny over time.

If anyone could chime in with anecdotes or even pictures of their hardware after months of use, that would be amazing. I may just play it safe and go for the royal red finish with chrome hardware, but hngggg, that purple Monarchy.

In my experience, the only finish that holds up is chrome regardless of manufacturer.

I was holding out on purchasing the purple because I had this exact same question, but in the end decided to order the red.

I think the black hardware is great on the black knight, but it just doesn't do it for me on the purple for some reason. If the purple had different hardware that'd be my first choice. Here's to hoping for some future variants in purple.

Regardless, I'm still very curious on new hardware durability as well. I may pick up a black knight model also if the purple doesn't become available with different options.
