I saw Chicago and Earth, Wind & Fire last night in Dallas.
First of all, I had never seen EWF before and that Verdine White gets down! He was all over the stage while playing his Ibanez hard. He was a lot of fun to watch.
Next, I hadn't seen Chicago since Jason Scheff joined. He is not only an awesome bassist, but an excellent singer too. He had complete control of his Lakland at all times.
Anywho, we had a lot of fun singing along with the old tunes even though it was a bit warm at this outdoor venue. Since I don't go to big concerts much anymore, I had sticker shock at the price of things. One beer: $6.50 - 8.00. A bottle of water: $4.25. Parking: $12.00. Tickets: $75.00 each. Good show but I'm still not sure it was worth the expense. I think I would rather see some good local musicians in a little more intimate setting.
