For a second I was looking at the bridge thinking "something's missing...". Then I realised it's only MM basses that have those giant pillars of metal that hold together the saddles. Mmm, seems I have music man on the mind.
Congrats on the bass by the way, though it's not a MM, it certainly is a nice take on a jazz.
I think Dan's done good, Roger started out with Leo's first designs and ran with that and now Dan's taken Leo's 2nd and Sterling's 1st designs and ran with them. but then Sterling grabbed a world class auto design team by the rack and pinions and has done something uh.... new
seriously though, if I really had to choose a non MM bas, I'd say it'd prolly be either a Lakland or a Mollerup but prolly a MM would win
I was seriously GASsing for one of the DJ5 strings, and then I happened upon my new Sadowsky 5. Between the two Bongos and the Sadowsky (and a couple of others in the arsenal), I do believe I'm done. With flats on the Sadowsky and the fretless Bongo, I put a set of Sadowsky nickelwounds on my Bongo 5 fretted.
That's a pretty killer bass, Patrick. Enjoy it with your MMs.
