Hi Koogie! It is at Richmond Raceway backing up Anthony Campbell who won the Today show version of American Idol a few years ago. It should be fun. Let me know if your band comes to Fredericksburg.

I do have a neoprene strap to help with the weight. I am shocked that a Bongo could be lighter. Maybe I should test out a Bongo. Thanks guys.

Cool. I'll have to see what is going on during that time. I'll let you know about any shows in Fredericksburg...

But you deceived me...you said that you were getting a Sterling. I have no guilt over that one. :D

P.S. If only Medallion Gold had been more yellow!

I sinned last week....I bought a J-Retro for my old MIM Fender Jazz which has been sitting on a stand in a different room from my Bongos. I brought it out last gig & was ecstatic at how good it sounded in comparison to the way it did before. It's to play something different once in a while.......and it's now worthy to be on the stand with the Bongos. ;)
BUT....after playing it for a few days I went back to the Bongo....and back to normal.:p

Sounds to me like you just happen to get a heavy Sterling. The Pearl Lavender one I sold weighed in at 8.4 lbs.

Yea my Sterling is a heavy b*st*rd at 10lbs. Honestly, I watch Ebay daily for another Sterling with a cool finish. I am hiding in the brush and taking my time. I love pearl lavender. That is just the sort of finish I would pounce on but it has to be rosewood.

I would have guessed a prune but surprisingly enough my last liver panel came back clean as a whistle. Even my Dr. kinda shook his head (he knows what I do) and said keep on keeping on...all systems go!
