Forum CD online NOW!!!

I use OS X. Make sure you're on the cd kit page (cd kit), then Ctrl-Click > Save Link As... and it should be saved in your default folder where you download files off the net.

Thanks for that, Jay! I'll update the CD Kit page with your OS X method of saving the files sometime tomorrow. (I'm using my wife's computer right now.. mine is out in the car.)

Steve;

I realize that this is akin to closing the barn door after the horses are long gone, but I JUST started recording my band and came home tonight with our first effort. It came out pretty well.

Is there room to add a track to your site?

It's our arrangement of Solsbury Hill, with me on bass.

Download it here:

Download SolsburyHill.mp3

Thanks!!!

adouglas,

You're not the only one who's interested. Let me formulate a good plan for expanding the site, and I'll post a plan tomorrow. I'm going to be out of town for a good portion of next week, so it may take a little longer.. I'd like to do some manipulations on the tracks (Colin mastered all the ones on the initial project.. ) so that they are approximately the same volume, etc.

Excellent job, Colin and Steve!

Today was the first time I got to open the cd (virtually) and check out some of the tracks...Mr. Light, Beej, and Adelucia's being my favorites so far.

Special mention to Jack for:

a) Not overusing the B-string...many 5'rs use it because it's there, but it usually doesn't serve the song...Jack never threw in the casual low-octave note, and the tone was perfect for the song.

b) Having the balls to sing lead on a song where the vocals are very exposed, and doing it well...even for a scratch track.

Plus, it's a cool song.

I'll check out the rest of the tracks when I get a bit more time.

James

Maybe you're trying to download from the streaming page?

I was there on the streaming page, and I didn't know about the cd kit page. So, I was wondering where I was going to do my Ctrl-Click magic. Thanks for the link.

Actually, you know, I'm doing Option-Click in Safari and bypassing the save link as stuff.

Huh, I didn't even know about that one! Yeah, in Firefox, Option-Click on a Mac will also just automatically download. Then again, just clicking on the link in Firefox will download. Apparently lots of ways to skin that cat!

Steve, do you have the front cover as a .jpg?

Actually, never mind. I just took the "American Gothic" photoshop and used it for my artwork in iTunes.

Rob,

I don't have the front cover by itself as a jpeg. I had to open the PDF and then do a 'print screen' and paste the back cover into photshop to get the 'jukebox' page image. You could do something similar to get the front cover into jpeg.
