Well I just got a phone call from Jack..... the bass has arrived intact!
The poor man just tried to put used flats on it and got stabbed in the thumb. Now he really IS sitting in the corner sucking on his thumb, and the bass still has the roundwounds on it.
He promised a review and photoshoot of the bass (not thumb) after tonight's rehearsal.

Slammed my index finger ('the hook') in the garage door, poked a hole in my middle finger, both on my right hand so I guess I can play anyway. Yeesh!
Yes, yes, the fully broken-in "acme" strings broke (the inside winding on the G) and attacked me as I removed them so Sterling can point and larf!
I plugged it in, Slinkys and all, for about 20 minutes earlier. Yeah. Yeah, babies, these are exceptional Stingray 5s.
I'll get some photos tonight.

Ok...yes the top is awesome, but I'm noticing some very nice rosewood on that fretboard. That thing is an all around beauty. Congrats Jack!
