I like the idea of swapping necks, but it doesn't work for me. My reasoning is that there is no brown in the rest of the guitar, so it just clashes.

If you like it though, keep it! That's what matters.

Spud - no not going to Brum on Sunday, its a show run by Sound Control so I may be shot trying to get in over the barbed wire!

As for the ASS its amazing the polarized opinion it has created - I never thought of the "brown-ness" of the neck, just seemed like the right thing to do....

Sound clips are unlikely as I'd have to play something half-decent as opposed to half-arsed <G>.

In terms of sound this guitar has tone to die for. You know when you can feel the resonance of the notes through the body, well with this you feel it throught your left hand fretting the chord on the neck. An ASS with solid rosewood neck and toneblock would be the ultimate IMHO, but for now I have my dream ASS!!

Totally lovin' it Dave! That's just hot - but I'm weird that way - I also really dig the RW body with maple neck that Spud linked to - to me that one is even cooler!

Dave get used to it....change usually is met with mixed results...THat guitar is fantastic.

Yeah BP I see your point (and I guess in business it may be something you encounter a little too often....;)) - the fact is I knew this guitar would work for me. If anyone else digs it then hop onboard, otherwise....

Next time the BP entourage hits the UK you can have an "up close and personal!"
