So Foggy ... you coming to this? (Hint: the answer had better be yes!)

Actually, there is a possibility.
Over the summer my wife and I were talking and discussing hypothetical situations. We are always time strapped and I came up with "if you had a free weekend to yourself, no holds barred, what would you do?" At first I was thinking going to a big city and visiting lots of guitar shops. Then I remembered the Birthday Bash! So then I mentioned it and she said "YOU HAVE TO GO!!"
So with that, I've been thinking about it a lot. I've got a nasty work schedule for the next few months. So basically I've been seeing how I could work it in.
I've also been looking for some Architecture/Design realted events in the area so I can write off the trip!

Sorry for the slight 'jack BP. I think the Dargie Silo Bass would look awesome!!!

All of which we have to spend doing what our wives want to do in order to make up for the relentless Musicman purchasing that goes on for the other 6 months;)

And you've got to look at it this way. I could come, and probably have the time of my life OR sit at home at home in my back garden and play the MM90 Rosewood Axis that I could buy with the money I's spend on flights and hotels......

That'is true...tickets would cost least that much. Maybe a new axe would help us thru these horrible times?...

Please excuse the following, I'm really annoyed I can't make it (in case you haven't figured it by the end of my post!)

Assuming I could convince my heavily pregnant wife and 20 month old son that I MUST - go to Texas - and although we've never been to the US and I could just walk away from work with the explination "I'm traveling 2400 miles to hang out with this great guitar company and a bunch of guys I've never actually met, but I think are really cool, and closer than some "Real" friends I have and I'll probably be back in a couple of days unless it's better than I think then I'll be there longer whilst buying another EBMM guitar in the states and bring it back to save money but not kind of...

And assuming I could raise the £1445 it'd take to get me the 3 flights, hotels, taxi fares food etc. I need to get there
and assuming I didn't just stand at the airport and point at Americans all day (north, south, east and west) -going - "cool american people..."

And finally assuming that I could hit drink more than 2 beers without wanting to attend the urinal every 7 seconds (old age has it's pleasures)

and assuming I didn't start drooling at all the cool guitar stuff I'd see so much I'd leave a drool trail like a snail....

I'D BE THERE IN A HEARTBEAT.....

But I can't and from the pics and videos from the open house, I'm literally weaping at what I'm gonna miss.... Hope you guys have a mega time, just spare a thought for old smellybum sitting in a corner somewhere

BP, I'm sending you a bottle of something to make up for my lack of attendance, it's older than I am, drink with caution. There's no chocolates in the highlands only red meat and old whiskey, and I don't think Fedex will take the meat.

Smellybum.
