All of which we have to spend doing what our wives want to do in order to make up for the relentless Musicman purchasing that goes on for the other 6 months;)

And you've got to look at it this way. I could come, and probably have the time of my life OR sit at home at home in my back garden and play the MM90 Rosewood Axis that I could buy with the money I's spend on flights and hotels......

This is a thorn in my side too!
But you can always buy guitars anytime though.

Assuming I could convince my heavily pregnant wife and 20 month old son that I MUST - go to Texas - and although we've never been to the US and I could just walk away from work with the explination "I'm traveling 2400 miles to hang out with this great guitar company and a bunch of guys I've never actually met, but I think are really cool, and closer than some "Real" friends I have and I'll probably be back in a couple of days unless it's better than I think then I'll be there longer whilst buying another EBMM guitar in the states and bring it back to save money but not kind of...

Hey, I'm leaving my wife home with our two young children! It's not that she wouldn't love to come, but she's almost never awake past 9:30pm.. so she knows she'd be a bit of a killjoy.

Instead, I'm bringing my boss and my best friend. It will take both of them to carry me back to my hotel room... :D

Foggy has been offered free guitars before.... I think he needs to buy one, where's the satisfaction for the rest of us if he gets a free one? :D

Dont you Europeans get like six months holiday?

What? Do you mean you get less than this in the States?

Maybe you get less holiday because of all the time you spend at the dentist?:D

BP, I'm sending you a bottle of something to make up for my lack of attendance, it's older than I am, drink with caution. There's no chocolates in the highlands only red meat and old whiskey, and I don't think Fedex will take the meat.

Smellybum.

Hey Smelly,

I'll be going from the UK - if you want to get said bottle down to me I'd be happy to hand it over to the big man.

..and Sterling I am going to BUY YOU A DRINK this time (even if it kills me :) )

Dave

Dave, that'd be very much appreciated, last one I sent to my mate in NYC arrived in bits - he thanked me for the wooden box that stank of whiskey!!!

Do you want me to ship it to Machinehead?? -or is that still in legalville?! if you can let me know what's best and I'll get it to you before you head on over the pond.

PS - I'll buy all my future musicmans from machinehead if you can match my 2% margin deal I get with SC & GAK!!!

Thanks again

So yeah.

Aside from all the sarcasm and moaning I just wanted to say a couple of things.

Firstly I just wanted to thank Big Poppa, I was already fiercly loyal to the brand and almost evangelical about Musicman BEFORE joining the forum.

Now I see the effort he goes to and things he does for us freaks all I can say is.

BP you've got a loyal footsoldier in me. i'll march into battle toting my Axis for the EBMM cause anytime.

Secondly, truth be told I'm not gonna make the meet, I'm sure that the same as a lot of you out there, life gets in the way. i just wanted to say it's a shame it would've been a real joy to meet you all.
I've really enjoyed being involved in the forum over the past few months and it would've been good to shake a few hands and say hello to you all.:)

This Silo bass may also be the only one with a RW fretboard.

When this one sold on EBay I remember the ad saying something like, "There were 2 of these built. One was for an EBMM artist and this one." I did ask Mr. LaRue and he said he didn't have the other one.

Still a DD SiLO Bass would be super Cool!

Hey Dave, looks like you'll be flying the flag for us Brits.

I'll actually be doing some work in Texas near that time but have to be back here before the birthday bash. :(
