Hey lurkers,

A special blessing by BP is kind of like a special blessing from the Pope, except the religion is guitars.

Seriously, this is a cool place to hang. Heck, they let me in here, and I don't even play guitar or bass!

Hello,

I already sort of made an introduction in the official pics thread but..
I'm a new Axis Super Sport owner. Its a beautiful looking guitar with a lovely neck. I learned to do my own setups and I finally have the action where I want it. I'm usually not a big fan of high output humbuckers (more of a single coil guy) but I am loving how the Dimarzios sing and scream now. As a result, I am learning all my favourite Michael Schenker solos at the moment :D

However, nothing beats that classic single coil tone for me (big Hendrix/blues/funk freak here), so I still have my sights set on an Albert Lee as a 2nd guitar for the future.

I also want to say that I am blown away by how amazing all the Music Man guitars are (I have tried all models - what a treat! - except the Morse and Benji), yet they're still very affordable IMO. Kudos to EB!

Cheers!

As another newbie, I'll join the thread.

Then you guys can tell me if I'm still welcome :)

I don't have an EB/MM guitar. I honestly don't think I've ever played one either  , as the only store in town that carries them is one I don't shop at only because the guys that work there are such jerks :( .

Anyway, last weekend I was shopping online for a baritone and came across the OLP MM5. I got it Wednesday, played it at practice for about 4 hours, and decided I would keep it but only with some upgrades. I found the forum here as I was looking for a place to order new tuners. (I've already got as much in upgrades as I have in the original guitar:confused: ). I joined, asked my question, found my tuners. :) Everyone was very helpful. I've decided I'll hang around and see what the fuss is all about. A relatively small but very dedicated group such as the one here must be onto something, right?

About me, I mostly play a 58 reissue Les Paul Historic or a replica 62 Strat (not made by Fender, much better ;) ).

Oh, and as for that OLP, I've ordered locking tuners, concentric pots and a new switch. I've installed (from stuff in the parts drawer) an Angus HB in the bridge and a Gibson 490 HB in the neck. Needless to say, both required quite a bit of physical modification to make them fit. I know, pretty ridiculous but it sure does sound good now...Flame away.

Welcome to the forum - I've only been here a little over 6 months myself.
Love the picture of your guitar - it looks soooooooooooo nice.
You won't go far wrong getting an Albert - and it won't take long to become your number 1 guitar!!

Though maybe Big Poppa should skip the whole "touching" part of the blessing.

Wrong on so many levels.

I've been lurking around these forums for quite a long time now and I finally joined a few days ago.

I don't have an EBMM yet. I plan on purchasing an Axis in the near future.
