I could say it in Spanish but Andrew wouldn't know what I said :)

I love this place.

Has nothing to do with my SR 5 love or my Bongo love.

I even like BP a lot and he stole my wife.

He just didn't give me a shipping address.
:D

And in spite of all the trials and tribulations, it was good to talk to you today, sir.

I love it when I pick up the phone and hear, "Jackie!"

My entire family called me that until I was about 12 or 13, when it became too much to bear and I insisted they stop it and call me Jack.

And for thirty years or more, the only other person who ever called me "Jackie" is Erika.

Hope you make it to SLO tomorrow, boss, and that Christmas and the New Year is fabulous for the family.

If Luke asks for a glue gun and he's holding snack foods, get the camera.

Wow I go away for a few weeks and come back to find something like the riot act is read.

Gentlemen and Ladies in the spirit of the prevailing festive season, I raise you all a dram and tell you I dig you all.

Peace and all that...:D

Yes everyone has a right to express their opinion. IN PUBLIC.

This is a privately owned and operated forum. Check your rights at the door and pick up a copy of the house rules. If you don't like the regs, go elsewhere.:)

You miss a few days around here, you miss a lot. On the free speech thing, just because you can say something, doesnt mean you should. I could go jump off a bridge, but I won't be doing that anytime soon:D

Free Speech tastes of strawberries.

I edit a small local magazine. I'm proud of it's 30 or so glossy pages. At no point in those pages can I just, say anything I want. Sure, the Bill of Rights gives you the right to run off at the mouth all you want, but it doesn't remove the consequences of your speech. Seems kind of petty to say a bunch of stuff and then get mad when someone takes offense or just generally disagrees. Believe it or not, even in this great country, there ARE laws restricitng speech.

This is not even adressing the subject in an international sense. This board isn't just American, even if that is where it's servers call home.

Code Monkeys, thats freakin' awesome. I was wondering about B.P.'s mention of a code monkey.

One time I went to my fav music store to get my EB flats, there was a woman walking across the parkinglot with two spider monkeys on leashes. One of them started screaming at me, showing it's teeth, scared the hell out of me. It was very loud for such a small animal.

I'm just glad it didn't throw any poo. Imagine that on "When Animals Attack".

Sorry my story doesn't really have anything to do with your post, my mind kind of wandered off.

I have an elephant story too if anyone's interested.

As far as freedom of speech, I try to conserve my freedom in case I need it someday. :)

are you sure they were monkeys? Could have been a flashback

LOL. Hmmm... yeah, they were monkeys alright. The woman said it was screaming at me cause it liked my shirt. Until then I've never been hit on by a monkey, I hope it was a female at least.

In my flashbacks, if there are monkeys, they are the one's with wings like in the Wizard of Oz. And they do throw poo!!!:D

I went to the San Francisco zoo with my mom when I was a little kid.

They had a sign that said: "Caution, moneys may throw dirt"

It wasn't dirt they were throwing.

"Dirt" must be the P.C. word for poo.

I'll have to remember that. Might come in handy one day.

It does make sense though, cause when birds crap on your car, you say, your car is dirty. You don't say my car is poo'ed up, or poo'tacular.

Once again I'm reminded why this is the only forum hang out I can stand:)
Jack, Arin, you do great!
Sterling, you are the best!
I am proud to agree with you.

It's an action <---> reaction thing

peace :)
I was stoked to see this.
In relationships there are actions and reactions.
For relationships to be successful, there has to be understanding for both.

Man, but I want to share my true feelings and opinions with you guys, not sugar-coat everything to please everybody.
Yeah me too! Presenting it in a tasteful manor is what makes one a great communicator. I am not great.
Could have been a flashback
Good Times!

Yeah I just read all the way through that - I'm not going to say much - lest I think get it ripped to shreds and analysed by my countrymen and blown out of all proportion.

End of the day, if people don't like how things are run here, if they don't think it's fair and don't wish to treat this place like BP's living room, then don't come here, and don't post. So much of what has been said there has been taken out of context and people have taken things to heart that weren't meant - but I guess that's one of the hazards of the internet.

I don't think this is a place where we all just congratulate each other on our new basses and pickguard combinations - it is a community - and as with any community, you will always have people who fit in, and those who don't quite.

What's been said there isn't funny - in fact I find it quite upsetting - as upsetting as you would find it if similar was said to real life friends and family. I just wish people would agree to disagree and leave it at that - without always insisting on having the last word.
