i love my new case, but i need to know, how much do stickers devalue bass cases?

i have some ghs and DR and modulus stickers that i wanna put on it, but mum is a bit concerned about the resale value...

does it drop heaps?

(not that i will ever sell, it :))

Well, the Freedom cases are SKB's budget line of cases, so it's not like they're worth a lot to start with (although they do a good job - I have a couple). Generally, I doubt that any ABS moulded cases are ever going to be collectable, although tweed or tolex cases from the likes of Fender, Gibson and Musicman can be sought after and fetch good prices. Any Freedom/SKB/Gator type case is just there to do a job, so I doubt that stickers will either enhance or detract from their value.

I once sold my son's old car and got MORE than I was expecting because he had stickers on it like "ICP", "Korn", "Slipknot" and "I'm going nucking futz" (which I really didn't appreciate. I did, BTW, only accept cash from the young buyer.
My advice: Slap the stickers all over the case if you're so inclined. :p

screw it ... for now the case is yours to use ... not plan for resale.

my philosophy is that i dont buy things to be scared of them; i buy 'em to enjoy them ... so with that in mind my call would be to sticker the s*%t out of it if that's what u want

really .. freedom cases or any other kind of cases, arent worth much to be sold ....

when you sell your bass including the case, people will interested with only the value of the bass ... and not bass + case ... :) trust me ..

Not to mention, cases are made to be beaten so the guitar inside doesn't. My cases get beat all to crap which is what they're meant to do. If I ever sell one of my basses, chances are including the case would lose me money :D

Did I miss something? I don't see the EB cases for sale on the site. I expect to need one of them before I need an new EB bass. I am totally loving my SR 5. The case will get scratched, but the bass I can't imagine a scratch on it. I do want to keep my beauty in a good case it's entire life. Wow did I say that I mean my entire life.
