Hey guys, I picked up a graphite pearl bongo 4HH with an abalone guard last night and I'm having a slight problem with the 8th fret. There is what seems like fret buzz on only that fret and it only happens on the e and a strings (more so on the e). Does anybody know what could be causing this or what I could do to fix this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'll be posting pics soon too, I know the rules! LOL.

Sounds like you need to get your frets dressed. Go to take it to your local shop and they will fix it for you. Don't do stuff you don't understand.

I wouldn't even think of doing that kind of work myself. I used to work for Ibanez, but when it comes to stuff like that I know to take it to my tech. I just find it strange that it only does it on that one fret.

I had the same problem with my newly acquired Stingray, except it was the 5th fret on the G string. I took it to the local guitar repair shop, and they adjusted the trussrod, intonation and action. It sounds great now. A good repair shop should be able to hook you up... it's like taking your car in for an oil change.

I actually took the Graphite Pearl Bongo 4HH back today and got my money back cuz I pulled the trigger on an Egyptian Smoke Bongo 4HH with a python guard which I've been wanting for a long time now, so I'll post some pics when she gets here in about a week. Thanks for all the replies guys, thats what makes this forum great, the helpful folks such as yourselves. Thanks again.
