What do you guys typically do? Send it back to MM or let a local guy do the work. I have a guy who has done some other guitars for me and he does a great job.

I go to Mat Brewster of 30 Street Guitars in NY, you may find someone as good but I think it would be impossible to find better.

Depends what you want for frets. Musicman will refret with original only. If you want a different profile or stainless, you'll need to find someone else. There have been threads on here about people refretting with stainless and they listed the price (after I asked). That might help your search.
