Fretless Bongos?

hello, im just wondering if they make bongos in Fretless Lined, ive only ever seen them in unlined...can you order them lined?

what does the neck feel like on a bongo... what is it finished with...i ask this because i HATE lacquer finished necks, i prefer them to be either raw, or satin

Yes they do. Its a satin finish iirc.

yea, i dont lacquer because it gets "sticky" when your hands get sweaty

Yes they certainly do come lined.

The back of the neck is satin but it wears gloss-smooth with use. It never gets that sticky goopy lacquer/polyurethane feel, though.

yeah sure did.i left the neck on because i dont know much about taking them off i just taped it off at both ends and spent hours with really fine same paper. I should add the only reason i did this is because the neck hard some bad chips in it.but i love it to bits now and its main giging bass-there is some really nice grain in the wood on the neck too !
