interesting. I do think just by eyeing it that my Ibanezes is taller and wider.

AGREED. I pulled out my old Jem from '88 and it definitely had larger frets than my Axis. So, in that regard it was a faster playing guitar. I don't know how the JP's are.

It's Japanese, there's no plural

their writing all looks the same to me anyway

My Ibenhad JPM1 doesn't have bigger frets. They are almost identical.
