This dipping thingy is definately an across the pond phenomenon. Is it chewing tobacco?
Because dipping over here can be a few things, like dipping into someones bag = pickpocketing, and put skinny infront of it and you have a pastime Chuck would be most at home doing = skinny dipping.....

I quit smoking centuries ago, now I have a difficult time being around smokers because it irritates me. Even more so than the wife who never smoked. Odd?

But hey as for vices I thought that what Bass Playing was. Well and my addiction to beers made with champagne malts. :D

Beth, do you rule with an iron fist or what? Just tell him to pop one in the "upper deck" until the bottom heals itself.... : )

Just mentally psyching myself up to quit in July - as of 1st July it'll be against the law to smoke indoors in public areas... so no more ciggies in bars / clubs and gigs.
it'll be strange for a while.

But about time I gave up anyway - if my mum can quit aged 82 I can!

Nice not to have a yellow monotooth!

Bit of a hijack - Beth, any tips for givin up the evil weed? did you try patches, nicotine gum?

Just worked it out -
a pack of 10 fags a day = £2.85 a day * 365 =

£1040.00 a year on ciggies - (that shocked me)

but a year of no smoking = new bongo ....

Hijack indeed! Sorry about that Silver...

I used the nicotine gum, it took the edge off and you can slowly ease away from it. Another thing was really examining how cigarettes make me feel compared to the nicotine gum. After I smoked a cigarette I would feel sapped of energy, dehydrated and a little light-headed, in addition to the nicotine rush. With the gum, I just get less of a rush, but feel a whole hell of a lot better! Now when I think of smoking cigarettes, I just think about how yukky I would feel after I finished one and that keeps me from lighting up.

She makes appearances every now and then, but I never know when she's gonna show up. Next time she does, however, I'll probably club her with my SR5 instead of try to get her to stick around for a date. :D
