Hey everyone I hate to do it, but money and space constraints have forced me to have to this place.

I need to sell my 2 Axis Sports, so here are there information.

As everyone knows, discontinued model in discontinued colors.

Never been gigged, or out of the house for that matter. Stored in their cases from non-smoking household.

They have minimual play on them, since I'm lucky if I can get in 1/2 hour a day.

No dings, crashs blemishes, stress cracks or damage.

However, minimual birdseye on the necks. Though they are both flamed necks.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

PM or email me if interested.

Thanx, Glenn :(

J-Nick, thanx I take that as quite the compliment, yah it is. The hardest part is letting the Silver Sparkle one go. I like the Blue Dawn, but the Silver Sparkle is just such a mint color.

I love that minimal played comment, in my case it would be more like..."minimally played well" :D
Sorry bro, selling these babies is like selling your organs on the black market, very painful.

I know what you mean, I have a Sport in silver sparkle and I think this color rocks! absolutely gorgeous under the light... Too bad I'm left handed I might have been interested in your blue dawn...

Man I'm bummed....I've been dreaming about the blue dawn since you showed it to me. Now I'm gonna miss out... :(

Do you have any idea how old it is? It's curious that EB doesn't have the serial number on file. Is it too old maybe?

Mike, I'm not sure really. I had Jon check it like 3 times, things fall thru the cracks, thats like.

My guess would be around the sametime frame as my other Axis Sport, so beginning of 2002.

Yah man sorry, I gave you the chance, but I won't put it on Evilbay, I'd rather have someone here get it.

Hey Glenn - got your message today, but you had already signed off. Please don't worry about it...

On a side note, can you give me a brief history of the sparkle colors? They seem to be well loved, and I'm only now starting to really appreciate them. Is there a thread somewhere that talks about why they were discontinued? Do they not last well? I'd love to know if there is any hope of them ever coming back...

Thanks Glenn! That's exactly what I needed. I knew there had to be a thread about it somewhere. Oh well - that's business. I'm sure sparkle owners will be selling and reselling for years to come, so if I want one, it's off to evilbay!

Incidentally, I've been told that Dweezil and Lisa visit here occasionally because of family. Lisa apparently has relatives that own a furniture store in Burlington. The last time they were in the area, I specifically remember seeing shots of Dweezil's guitar and commenting that I didn't like it (this was before I knew anything about EBMM). Now that I have an EB, I'm talking about liking sparkles! Funny how things come around...

Thanks again,
Mike

Mike, yah the first time I saw the SS I had to have it and I got it and that baby will never leave my cold dead hands, oops sorry.

I love the sparkles as everyone knows, they in my opinion add just a bit of flash and they look awesome. The Silver Sparkle is to die for, that thing looks great from every direction.

BP, knows his business as we all know and I have to agree the people who seem to love the sparkles the most are a select group, but the general guitar buying populas isn't interested in sparkles. Look at the number of Axes you see on EvilBay, they are trans colors.

They aren't for everybody. I liked Blue Dawn, but I don't love that color as much as said NorM. I like the White Sparkle or the Silver Sparkle better, but it's all personal Taste.

Pete's got a White Sparkle JP, The White Sparkle is a classic/classy color, IMO.

Yah Dweezli has a 2 pickup MM90 Albert Lee in the best sparkle color there is Glaicer Blue Sparkle. Lisa's also got an AL, but her's is in Powder Pink sparkle, I had a friend Tivo the Dweezli and Lisa show whe they goto BP's house and get their guitars. I need to rip it off of their Tivo, I still haven't seen it.

The Food Network use to have a picture, it wasn't very good, but I have one somewhere as well I'll look for it tomorrow and post it.

Well, little girl (Dottie) want to play a game, so gotta go.

Shows how closely I pay attention. It was about that long ago that I had heard of her or them being around. Oh well. I'm still watching for them to rerun that show...
