I am really hating this and will probably kick myself afterwards but I am putting the HD-500 on the block. It is is great shape, other than the usual cosmetic wear. It has the footswitch and everything is in working order. While I love it, my finances really only allow me to keep one head on hand - and I REALLY have my 2001 dialed in now (Bongo+NEOs+2001RB=the tone I've been searching for for years). The EBMM sounds great but it isn't the best pairing with the GK NEOs (I think it would be awesome with GK SBXs or even a Ampeg setup). FYI this is the same type of head as we used at Open House and is made by MarkBass.

While she is normally supportive, my wife doesn't see the need for "2" heads (there is a bad joke in there somewhere) - she barely tolerates multiple basses. So the wife is nagging me to ebay it but I thought I would give all of you a crack at it first (I would love for it to stay in the family).

Let me know if you are interested, have questions or need more picts.

Am looking for $400/+ shipping or OBO.

Thanks

Wow, if I wasn't so happy with my TFunk I would jump on that in a second.

BTW, you need to post pics of Kermit like that more often.

I wish so badly that I had the extra coin, because Id love to keep one of these in the stable. That price is killer for a GREAT amp.

Hey Mr. Huff,
If you get tired of it, it will go great with my MM HD-210 and HD 2-12 Cabs.

It is going to look nice with my HD-410

That it will... I just keep telling myself it is the right thing to do... it is the right thing to do...

I also keep asking myself how will I ever achive the title of "gear whore" if I keep selling stuff off (the only consolation is the wife feels better about what I am dropping for the DFW trip now) - I feel more like a "gear pimp"

If someone really wants one, I saw an HD-500 at a guitar store on sunset blvd. in Hollywood, CA. I forget the name of the shop, but it was right next to Voltage Guitars and 1 block west of the Hollywood GC. I think the price was around $450.

Of course, the much more logical thing would be to track down one of the new Markbass amps. Just like the HD-500 only more better!

Probably a whole lot more $$$ too, and no MM logo . . . . Oh well, I'll just keep my eyes open, and try to be quicker next time . . . .
