I have no idea if this helps or not.

We're not sure about him just yet, but Erika only holds them that way because she has no idea about the correct way to hold 'em.

Yup, she's a lefty.

Hi

HI

Yea, just bought it. Hope it plays and sounds as good as it looks. Have been searching for a MM type bass to compliment my jazz basses for quite a while. All have been too heavy for me. This one is quite light and I hope it does the trick

Sterling is here!!

HI

thanx Jack. Just got her in the mail about half hour ago. Very nice. First of all, this is my first sterling. I've owned 3 stingrays. One 4, two 5's. I've also recorded with my buddy's 5 string Ray before. I like rays but they arent really my thing. I prefer a slimmer neck and slimmer body. Im a slim guy! LOL

This sterling is quite nice. Very light compared to others Ive tried, very nice unfinished neck, real cool color. Neck is nice. Like the extra fret compared to my Sadowsky's(prob never use it). Gonna gig it later tonite. Hope it sounds good enough to make it a keeper. Might run it through my Sadowsky pre.

What do u sterling guys think? Fave tone setup? Should I consider a replacement pickup or is that sacreligious? It does need straploks. Tomorrow I hope

Really love the look of it. The color rocks. Matching headstock rocks. Appears to be a great slap bass. I'm excited to try it out in a few hours.

Thanx for listening

Give it a good try first with everything stock before you think about replacing parts.

Sterlings are great basses and you can get more tones from one than a Stingray.

If you like the feel of the bass and neck but don't like the tone, worry about modding then.

First congrats and welcome. :)

The Sterling is the perfect, absolutely perfect bass guitar (IMHO). I expect the newer dual PuP models have only improved on perfection!

I played mine with the EQ flat for most of the first year. Of late, I am bumping the high and low just a bit (almost ¼ turn). I prefer a scooped tone and the boost helps it to compete with the output of my Bongo.

I've no plans to change the pick-up - the EBMM pick-up & EQ are extremely versatile. My personal choice, YMMV.

I love the matching headstock too, and feel it's a "must have" on a rosewood board. Don't see alot of matching HS with maple, but your lavender pearl is sweet - enjoy! :D
