FS: Stingray 5

As much as I don't want to, I'm putting my 5 up for sale to fund a trip to the states next year.
It's white with a matching headstock, black pearl scratch guard and rosewood fretboard.
This bass is for sale through the shop I work at, so it comes with a full warranty like a new guitar.
I'd like it to stay in oz, but if someone over seas wants it I'm sure I could work something out.
I'll be putting some pics up tomorrow, but it's in perfect nick, but for one TINY ding on the bottom and a snall scuff near the back strap pin.
I'm asking $2995 through the shop, and considering all the extras it has I think that's pretty fair, but if it went to someone here I could go for $2750 or a bit less if it comes to it.

is that a fair price? it retails for $3495+matching headstock+pearl scratch guard

Yep. You're asking US$2000 for something that can be bought in the US for around half that.

yeah thats probably best, id say too much as well. i got my "used" HHP bongo 5 for $2300.

hope you get a good price through the shop though.

For local sale in Australia, no more than AUD$2000 (probably more like $1600-$1900). Unfortunately, because of the high retail prices downunder, as soon as a new bass leaves the store, you can knock at least 33% off the value. Initial depreciation is a real killer, but fortunately it won't lose much value after that.

For sale to US-based forumites (who have access to lots and lots of used SR5's), you're probably looking at a fair price being around US$1000, given that shipping will be in the order of $100 (via Aussie Post, unbolted without a case) to $250 (shipped in the hard case via Fedex/UPS/DHL).
