Okay, I think I understand now.
The only single hummer 4 pickguard I have is an historic artifact (off the BP Bongo) so I'm keeping it where it is - hanging on the wall in the studio.

That's seems to be the feeling at the moment...I'm pretty ambivalent about it.
At least the Ray is safe...haven't had one thought of flipping it since I got it!
Either way, I'll still have two EBMM's to sport at Arin-stock '06...

No problem, Randy. I called my friend up, and he was in the middle of a rehearsal (guitard), so he's going to call me back any time now.
Gave me a chance to sit down with the Bongo some more...
...can't figure out if I love it and just don't realize it yet, or if I'm just too old school to be that open-minded about the uniqueness of its tone.
Guess I'll take it on a day-by-day basis.
