This one just isn't grabbing me (much much to my dismay), so I'm putting up for specific trade. I got it in early April of this year. I've played it at about 5 gigs, and have babied it. It's Radiance Red, rosewood, non-matching headstock, white pearloid PG.

Pictures are from when I first got it, but it's still in 'like new' condition.

I'm looking for one of the following in like new condition as well:

Blue Pearl Stingray 4H Rosewood
Blue Pearl Bongo 4H

As you can see, I'm digging blue pearl, and have been wanting to try a Bongo 4H for a while now.

If you're interested, lemme know.

Oh Fuzzy that is stunning! I'm sure it will be snapped up before long. If I had a bass to trade, I would do so in a heartbeat!

Gorgeous :D

Yep, she's a looker. I was sure the Sterling would be for me, after having played a thin-necked Ib@nez for quite a few years. But, after playing my SR4 for about 4 years, I don't see myself going back. I love the color, so I suppose a Rad Red for Rad Red trade wouldn't be out of the question, either.

One other note, it has Dunlop Straplocks installed on it and is currently strung with EB 105 Flats.

John, that pretty SR5 of yours better be staying in the heart of dixie. :)

Someone snatch up this purdy Sterling.

Hehe I dont think you'll have to worry, it gets about 98% of my playing time. I just keep jonesing so bad to try a dual pickup MM anything. And there are no stores anywhere remotely close that carry MM products. I need to move somewhere else.

How heavy is this HH Sterling? I'm really enjoying mine lately but I'd love to find one that's around 8.5 lbs.

I'm a little obsessive about weight [sound of Jack choking on whatever he's drinking at the moment in the background] so I use a nice digital scale. Some people with digital bathroom scales will weigh themselves first and then pick up the bass - the difference is pretty accurate, within a half pound usually. The spring-type bathroom scales are not suited to the task.

Hey,
Haven't posted on this forum for quite a while, just been lurking. And actually came on to find inspiration not to sell my stingray 4 blue pearl w/piezo and buy a sterling. That is one totally awesome sterling!
If you feel like trading id be up for it! although i do live down under!

Damn will ya look at that?? I was just about to tell you that your very specific trade post was way too specific to get a hit and you'd be better off selling that bass and looking for a BP for sale too!!

LOL...gotta love the power of the internet!!!

<---also a digital scale user and proud of it...only way to get an accurate weight if you know the difference between posting weight in pounds and ounces vs posting the weight in pounds and tenths that is. :p

Being a dealer and liable for any and all specifics I list for items I sell I have to make sure they're as accurate as possible. Think about it...how many dealers post specific weights on their inventory?? I generally add a tenth of a pound to my posted weights just to be safe even when using a digital scale.

Ask Rich Meland how he feels about buying that Stingray HH advertised at 8.2 pounds which weighed in at over 9.5 pounds when he got it. I just got in a bass on trade which the customer told me several times was 9.5 pounds and it tipped my digital scale at 10.6. I'm not too pleased about it but the guy is a very good and regular customer and I'm sure he used the bathroom scale method in good faith...it simply is not accurate enough...period.
