Ahhh...I see.....well they certainly cost enough...so I guess they are like women!! :D

At the risk of alienating what few women we manage to keep around here...sounds right to me. :D

Cool! Just made the arrangements with Ben (Old Toe). He's shipping the Ray tomorrow, I'm shipping the Bongo Tuesday when I get back to work.

Feels just like Christmas to me! :D

My wife is in disbelief that I'm trading the Bongo off...as if I haven't been doing this all along (27 years and 400+ basses later!).

As I've said before...where's the fun in owning one axe all your life? :D

My wife thinks I'm insane as well.

She could be right, but life sure is more fun this way.

Ya know, sometimes I think they're more attached to our basses than we are...quite a statement if you ask me!

BTW, my home phone is on for the next couple of hours, if you want to holler back at me.

James, I'm hopped up on cold medicine right now. Let me take a rain check on the holler back. NyQuil is my mental undoing.

Hi.

I'm Jack.

I'm an internet personality! (And the pay for this really sucks.)

Get to know me! I rock, etc etc etc.

Are ya feelin' the Bongo love, Jack?

BTW, I'm hoping for a big tax return like last year's...Bongo H in DG or BP on that horizon to replace the Stealthy One that's gone to Ben.

LMFAO! Checked the DHL website, showed that the Bongo had arrived...

...two neighbors away from Ben!

Called to give him the heads-up...in his posession now.

A review, maybe?

My review:

Oh hell yes!

Like the world's meanest Jazz Bass would sound and play if it knew what was good for it. This one's absolutely killer righteous! A PERFECT compliment to my 4HH Bongo. Thank you, James! This is what I needed, man. Can't wait to play this one with the band!

And the Black Ice pickguard is too, too cool looking; although Paula prefers the flat black. Hadn't really scoped out the White Ice yet. Mine, mine, mine.

Now that's a damn-good review!

Glad you like it, Ben! Hopefully, the wife will feel the same (yours...not mine).

I hear Jack's stomach starting to rumble...lookout GAS! :D

Just got to play it again for the second time. This is one mean sounding bass, folks. Not the same H/SC that I was introduced to a couple of years ago. Lots more growl! I love this one.

James is a stand-up guy and great to deal with, too. Trade with confidence with this fellow, everyone.

Thanks, James! Call me the minute you get that 'Ray. I hope you like it half as much as I've fallen for this Bongo.

Thanks Ben! I'm actually surprised you went for the trade offer in the first place, being that you initially meant it as a joke over at the Pit...glad you did it though!

I'm going to initiate the Ray NYE; hope to get shots of me and the Ray in action! TNT and Bass-sic (married couple; super cool peeps!) are going to be there, hopefully with a camera.

As Ben has so kindly said of me, he is every bit as easy to deal with! I felt complete trust in sending my beloved Bongo to a person I've rarely talked to online (let alone met in person).

I'm glad the Bongo has even surpassed your expectations! Enjoy!

James

I'm still working on the "personaly think" part.

Actually, I hope I'm not giving him that hard of a time. The "personaly think" comment just struck me as an odd combination of words since thinking is usually personal (atleast for some of us ;) )
