Heh. It's always easier to beg forgiveness than to ask permission. :D

That's a sweet looking Ray.

I've been keeping my collection of basses the same size with trades and sales. That keeps me healthy.

Besides, it's easier to hide new bass heads. They all look alike to women

Moondog,

That sweet Ray is worth whatever trouble you endure!
My wife just got me a gift certificate for Guitar Center (today's my birthday), so I guess I'm still free to buy stuff!

I told her I'll put it toward a Strobostomp! I think I'll go get it tomorrow! Yeah!

As for the home projects, that's just a way of life aroud here. We're always improving something. Lucky for me, my father-in-law is a carpenter, my uncle an electrician, my bass player a plumber, my brother an HVAC guy....

Agreed Steve, And hope you had a great Birthday.
Today I'm painting ceilings (due to a water leak- yuk)

Unfortunately I do not have your connections except
that my Mom's side of the family owns a large commercial
carpet business. I didn't spend a dime for any carpeting,
it's all top grade, courtesy of some fine NYC hotels :)

Thanks for the birthday wishes guys. I went out and bought a Peterson Strobostomp tuner, so the birthday funds helped defray that expense. I started a thread about it on the guitar side, where I'll let everyone know how it works and if it's worth the $$$.

I'm one lucky SOB. My wife encourages my GAS

Same here! :D She spends as much on her horses in a year as I do on basses. I bought the Sterling first, although deep down desired a StingRay. Then I got my natural StingRay and she was cool. I didn't know how to broach the subject of finding the black '79 Ray, but when I said "I've got to go to Bristol to see another StingRay" she said "Cool, can I come and see it too?" :p

Man I cant believe what a bunch of panty wearing panzies some of you are (joking) Here's what you do. Tell your wife that not only did you buy that bass, but that the other two you ordered just like it havent come in yet and that you're gonna buy a new ampeg rig as soon as SHE moves all the furniture out of your living room so that you have a place to put all your equipment. After that, tell her to hush and go back into the kitchen and fix you something to eat.

Hi. My name is Jeff Brewer. I'm 29 yrs old and twice divorced. I'm thinking about starting a marriage counseling center. What do ya think? hahahahaha

I'm lucky to. The girl I live with doesn't complain about me playing bass (just sometimes when I miss her while doing gigs). On the other hand, I'm always ok to help here in the houseworks as i think she also must have time to do somtehing else.To be able to do both (bass and homworks), i just sleep less and rarely watch TV (which is a good thing).
