I rarely look at the dates on these things when they're listed on the first page.

I'll add my two cents worth...
Though i didn't have a G&L Legacy I did have a G&L Tele... it was a great guitar and was fun to play and had great tone. I no longer have that guitar as it was stolen and when i replaced it i did so with a Silhouette. I don't think there's anything wrong with a G&L; however, i find the playability and enjoyment of my time playing increased with my Silhouette.
I think in the end you'll find that the Silhouette will get you every possible strat tone and more that you're looking for.
The Silhouette Special and Albert Lee SSS are in my honest opinion Strat Killers.
