I'm stunned. Just re-watched parts the Strat Pack Anniversary show yesterday and caught his and ALs contributions. Such tone and feeling is a huge loss. RIP GM.

So sad, he seemed so young.....too young to be taken.

I adored his touch and feel, and "that" note in Parisian Walkways was one of the reasons I wanted to play the guitar.

I am totally devastated by reading this post, I think crushed sums it up better. Gary Moore has always been on of my all time favorite players who could do it all with chops and a tone that were astounding. Gary a lefty who played right handed had two stints in Thin Lizzy and was a collaberator and close friend of Phil Lynott. I was always upset I never got to see him live until I read an interview with him where he said he played on the tour with Thin Lizzy when they opened for Queen in 76 at the Garden which was the first concert at 14 I ever saw,so though for years I never knew it I can say I did see Gary live. I would reccomend everyone that is not familiar with his music to checkout his whole category as he did it all from Hard Rock to later on going back to the Blues where he had his most success as an artist and in my book is right next to SRV as my two favorites, as they both played with a fire that is uneaqual in that style, one with humbuckers and the other with single coils. Blues Alive is a must have CD and will be blasting in my house tonight. I give Gary the highest honor as he was a players player. R.I.P

Just a monster player...what a loss!!!

I just found out when Joe Bonamassa posted the news over on his Facebook page.

Joe B. said "If it wasn't for Gary I wouldn't be playing music right now".

I think that says it all.
