....I nabbed a Pod XT on Friday night. Woo. Sounds pretty cool, I up'd the firmware to 2.0 which made it sound insanely better, but I need to wait a week on the model packs (adds like 30 somthing more amps and about 20 fx) since the update costs $100. Then again they dropped the price a hundred bucks so it evens out. I'll pretty much have a vetta on my desktop sans the 2 amp at once bit.

Is this your first Line 6 purchase? If not, would you say that the overall feel is improving? I did Line 6 a few years ago (Flextone II line) and I really liked the features, versatility, and tone but I hated the feel or lack of dynamics.

I've been building a rack this year but it keeps getting bigger and more expensive and I still want more and different tones. There are some days where a Vetta II rig looks very tempting. :D

Had a Pod Pro mated to a 2:90 for years. That was awesome with the cab models disengaged felt like a real amp, Ty Tabor uses the same setup. Stef from Deftones has a pair of Pro XT's in his rack now too. I'm thinking of grabbing one of those XT Pro's and a VHT power amp in a girlie rack.....hahaha. The feel of the XT is vastly improved over the 2.0 (Isold my 2.0 in ahalf hour on ebay friday night hahaha.). The routing is a cool feature as are the stompboxes.

Hey Man Congrats On The Purchase! ;)

I've been an avid Line 6 user since the AX2 was released and digital was still considered a new venture.
From an AX2 I went to a POD PRO into a Mesa Fifty / Fifty out to a pair of 2/12's, sold that and got the Vetta Combo, then sold that for the head version, lost the head in a water main break and bought the combo and extention 2/12.

Two months ago I sold this off and purchased what is now in my new rack rig...

Furman Digital Power Conditioner / Monitor
Sony UHF Wireless I've Had For Years Getting Replaced By A Sennheiser Digital
Line 6 POD XT PRO
BBE 862i Sonic Maximizer
VHT Valvulator
Mesa Boogie Stereo Rectifier Two One Hundred Power Amp

I send this out to a pair of Genz Benz G Flex 2/12 Cabinets! :D

This system is so killer it's not even funny. The update with the new stuff imakes it even better. I never had better tone ever than with this system so I can feel your elation and happiness!

Let me know if there is anything I can assist you with. And if you want I can send pics of the rig!

Okay, first I gotta take em' which I can do right now.

The only problem is...

If I e mail em to ya can you host them? I have no way to do this, nor do I even know how.

So I'll snap em now, you let me know where to send them and the pics will be sent pronto! :D

Thanks!
