:D No duty, no hassles, and it weighs next to nothing. Had a great streak of luck with all of that and it had an extremely safe journey home. So fortunate.

This Bongo is incredible!!! Tone is incredible and the feel of the neck profile is amazing, feels almost effortless, especially with this silky smooth neck. I now get what all the bongloids were on about. Thanks EBMM, keep up the good work. :D

Very nice! That thing is absolutely stunning. Congratulations on a very beautiful bass that I'm sure plays like a monster.

Thanks fellas!
I am so glad I didn't let this slip by, there was a reason it was haunting me in my dreams. It's really breathtaking and my hat goes off to the crew at EBMM for their vision and execution. They are like a musical chili cookout with all the gas they make us have. Seriously though I'm sincerely honored to own such a beauty.

Can't wait for it's first rehearsal today. I am giddy with anticipation.

Nice score. That one has the flame look on the body like mine does. Translucent flame pickguard?

So what was it like with the Bongo in the band mix? Coming home?

Who knew coming home was so awesome??? Honestly, it was amazing. I'm still in awe of the Bongo's power...seriously. I figured with the 18v pre, I would try it at first with the amp set as I had it with the Big Al last. Too much, so I had to flatten everything off to get the right perspective. I adjusted everything on the Bongo's EQ from there. Then I played with the pan a bit for a different flavour in parts. I feel like I haven't scratched the surface of what this thing can do. The pau ferro board and mahogany body really compliment each other well. Lots of attack and bite, and a lot of warmth and growl too, almost like an ebony and maple hybrid. Really versatile bass, and sat in the mix beautifully. Really looking forward to experimenting more while we write a new album...setting up to track in January.

Nice score. That one has the flame look on the body like mine does. Translucent flame pickguard?

I was thinking that a clear pg would look rad. I'm sure that flame figuring would really pop.

One thing I'm really digging about this bass is the comfort in playing it. Sitting down is really good, but standing is a dream too as it is so light. Every time I pull it out of the case I almost throw it across the room because I'm used to picking up my rays and BA which are noticeably heavier in comparison.

I have a clear pg on order. The nice thing about that is I can put pictures under it if I want a different look. Pictures can also be printed on clear sheet to give a translucent look. The possibilities are endless.

Wow - I am at a loss for words. Just look at the wood of the body and fretboard...

...and, the color of the burst..it's just perfect. A job well done in the spray booth.

Thanks guys. The mahogany body and pau ferro combo sounds as good as it looks. Seriously mind blowing tone, these PDNs are very unique in that regard. I'm toying with the idea of flats at some point however the cobalts on my big al and roasted ray have something else to say about that. I'm sure it will be insanely good either way. Can't believe it took me this long to get a Bongo...

That's actually what I had initially thought Holdsg. The mahogany is inherently warmer than my other basses so the cobalts will definitely add more punch in the upper register. The Big Al has so much brightness with the maple and the beefy preamp that I was thinking the flats could be a nice addition. It's great to have options.
