OMB, happy hunting for a Bongo.

I have determined from these treads that the Bongo is a dangerous bass. It causes people to become dependent on them. They try to quite, but just can't shake that feeling once its gone. Then they end up buying another 1,2 or 3. When the day comes that I decide to buy one, it looks like it will be a life long commitment. :D

Sorry guys. Call for the Psychiatrist now..............Bongo's just don't do it for me on the looks front!!

I must admit that i've never got my hands on one to play about with, & i'm sure with EBMM quality, they sound great, but i'm definately a 'looks 1st/personality 2nd' kind of guy................perhaps this explains the 3 ex-wives!!!!

My girlfriend used to say that I wasn't allowed to buy the bongo because it was ugly. Then she heard me play it with my band and now she says I shouldn't play any other bass with those guys. (She's an ex-bassist btw.) Personally, I wasn't crazy about the looks but I was curious about the sound everyone was talking about. Now I know they were right, oh so right....

Close your eyes, plug it in, and you'll see.

You beat me to it. It would be great if when you googled "turkey leg", you got THAT picture.

Perfect!!!!!!
Yes it is, isn't it? Thanks Big Poppa for that comment. It has the tone to match. Perfect tone.

I played it in Church this morning and the Bongo thundered. I know God was smiling when He heard our Praise and Worship Service.........:)
