Well i went to houston yesterday and visted the GC off westheimer. If saw an awesome buttercream/birdseye classic stingray 5. The thing was beauty and if it were a 4 string i would have bought it. I also saw what i think was a black sparkle stingray 4H, it could have been a dark blue but i didnt get it down to see for sure. That was a cool looking bass.

Now to get to the point i was wondering if buttercream is only a guitar center color option. I usually only buy basses through theperfectbass but i would make an exception if buttercream is only at GC.

So if your looking for a classic 5 or a sparkle color bass there are two great basses at the GC.

I believe the color you are referring to is actually called "Classic White". It's not a GC exclusive and can be ordered from any Music Man dealer.

When we initially shipped "Classic White" to GC we hadn't come up with official color names yet so they may have the bass listed as "Buttercream".

Check "EBMM Basses For Sale" in the thread at the top of the page - a really nice one with flamed neck for sale there.

I guess that could have been it, but it was next to a classic white bass on the wall and they seemed like different colors. Do the classic white colors vary drastically?
