ok so tomorrows the big sale at GC's... anyone else have a "well, ill check it out and if they have xxxxx" kinda thoughts going thru their heads?

randy called a couple hours ago and we both brought up the sale at the exact same time. i wont spoil Randy's wishlist but...

if they have an HS Bongo at the right price its mine...

anyone else excited to see if they can score something new?

I've heard that the Hollywood store might have a 30th in stock. Thought I would head up there to check it out They are opening at 8:00, rumor has it.

I'm just being crabby because I don't have any money.

Also, even if I did, I couldn't buy anything because I'm waiting on a 20th SR5, so it really is kind of hard to justify being crabby.

So let me revise my original thought.

"I would, but I'm going to see that stupid Shrek movie!"

Wait, is that really any better?

I really need a new amp, But I just got back from Disneyland with the family this week. That kind of happiness doesn't come cheap. So maybe a nice compressor pedal if its on sale or those cheap drumsticks to try to make some funk fingers. :D

Its killing me that my closest GC has a Markbass combo(they don't carry this brand) that was special ordered in then not bought. That thing reaks of clearance Oh well....:(

Ah man!!

I shoulda waited a couple of days.

Although, I've heard it from MANY people that they won't bend on the price on Markbass products.

exactly why I'm not sure it is worth it. Was told by the GC execs that margin is so low the deal is the given price. I think they are trying to get the name out into the market. Paul bought one that day in Dallas. Gave him free strings but wouldn't budge on the price.

Too bad the GC here in Indy is not one of the Markbass select stores. I don't have time for a quick trip to Nashville tomorrow. :(

I was last there around Easter and they had a 20th Silo and a 30th Stingray among others. However, the one I REALLY liked was the Dargie Fretless SR4 - very nice.

Oh, fie. The drive to the Sherman Oaks and Hollywood GCs are pretty nasty from the Valley. hmm Guess it depends on how early I wake up then. :p

I'm getting ready to leave. I'm hoping to find a small SVT 15" cabinet to haul for practice. But if they have that Bongo at a ridiculous markdown.......I'm jut saying;)
