I would go but i'm actually laying in a king size bed in a classy suite in the Amelia Islands. Maybe I can talk my lady into going to the one in Jacksonville before we leave (if there is one).

But right now, i'm just too dang comfortable.

I'll go by my local GC just to check out the sale, but, I don't need a single thing! I'm covered in basses, amps, strings, keyboards, cases, straps, I can't think of anything I need!


That said, when the heck did "need" ever play into this?

I survived the sale. I didn't buy the Bongo but I helped sell an SR5 for them. I did manage a SWR 15" cabinet and a StrobeStomp tuner for under $300
They have some crazy deals going there today and if I didn't want to remain married, I could have come home with that Bongo. A little hard to explain with the Sterling on the way though

I went to the Hollywood GC. There's a nice red active 2EQ SUB for a great price there. It isn't in the bass room. There's like a center isle of guitars you'll see once you walk in. The SUB is near the back end of that display. Really good price!

Also, there's a red-orange-ish SR5 there. I've never seen that finish before. That wasn't on sale tho.

Oh, the 30th SR there felt great. By the time I took it down, two other guys were in the room playing really loud so I didn't bother playing it through an amp. Anyway, nice and low action on that one!

Had a gig in Houston this weekend, stopped into the GC there and saw a new 20th SR, and also a used red single h bongo for nine bills.

I went to the GC in Phoenix today, walked away with a few things that weren't on sale (chorus pedal + delay pedal + strings).

so i cruised down and didnt get anything major. a markbass 6x10 cab taunted me for a while... especially since some customer had placed a "one day sale - $660" tag on it. i aksed the nice employee dude if it was true even tho we both knew it had to have been a misplaced tag off a guitar.

anywho... that was that. the sf gc had a bunch of balls but nothing that i "had to have" given the color selection. they also had a bunch of markbass stuff too.

in the end i walked out with some picks and wonderwipes

I got my 1st and only bass from the sale they always have in March. I got a S.U.B. 5 for under $600 and they threw in a case. I couldn't let that deal go by. I wanted a bass and it happened to be a Music Man.

I went by my local GC today, it was a total mad house and business was good. But unfortunately, (the wife said fortunately) no lefty’s. I’ve got a better selection of lefty’s than most music stores … but I have to admit that makes me smile.

My tip for all dealers… keep a lefty or two in inventory, we’re an impulse buying bunch!

The Atlanta GC, on Druid Hills rd. has a red sparkle HH bongo 5 used for $700. in great condition. I almost bought it but I already have 2.

As of today it's back in the bass room, but it's still got a very nice price. There was also a great deal on a Axis with Piezo!
