Me too

Jon when I landed in SLo it was 59 degrees at 11 am....pants weather

I remember when it could have been snowing in SLO, and you would have been in shorts. The desert has spoiled you.

BTW, you were looking very svelt. This club soda thing has it's merits.

Congrats NorM!

It would be cool to hear what you played as your winning piece.

Nice one. And that's an awesome 20th as well.

59 degrees in SLO eh? Wow that's chilly.

What were we talking about?

Wow look at my post number grow!!

The rest of the story
My friend that I loaned the black SiLO to that was stolen passed away in January. It was tough for me to play this year 'cause I always used him to help me write these pieces. I've been swamped at work this year and with getting married and all guitar time has been limited. I really wasn't looking to advance but I felt I really wanted to play cause my friend knows how much I do enjoy playing in these things and I should do everything I can to be this kind of happy.

I was really stumped at 1 minute 30 seconds. So I went and spent the day with Darrell. God bless him cause we (he) were able to finish writing it. I am so not a blues player and it is a really simple piece.

One thing I have learned from the GC shredfests is that playing is only 1/6 of what they are scoring on. I guess there was enough emotion and originality that the judges liked it.
All I have won is the first round, The store finals are the first Tuesday in April.

Thank You for your kind words MadDog.
Keith is quite observant as the intro and outro of the piece is artificial harmonics

NorM,

Sorry to hear about your friend passing. I'm sure that was really tuff.

Congrats again, and good luck at the next round.
When is it anyways?
