Firstly, thanks for the welcomes 
I was too busy playing the JP last night to reply *tsk tsk tsk*
To answer the questions though:
I'm from Sydney =)
Currently living in Stamford (I like it)
I did try a few other stores in CT..... I rang one guy and asked for a price, he said he'd ring back but never did... But with the 20% off guitar center, I'm pretty sure I got a decent deal.
Guitar center just got a BFR in! The manager showed me... If only I could afford that
anyway, have a dodgy pic of the guitar now (i didn't realise how poorly lit the apartment was... even with two spot lights shining on it!)

Well Stamford to Manchester is a bit of a haul, but it would be well worth it for a day trip to check out the Dubaldo's stock.

One thing I'm noticing with the new guitar is my strumming hand creeps up the fretboard. when I look down at my strumming hand, I find it hovering around the 23rd fret! eek..
So, my first instinct is to head as far away as possible, and I end up resting on the bridge, which is bad because I'm likely to bend the pitch with the temolo.
This is going to take some adjustment.. (im not used to 24 frets OR a tremolo.. only one way to learn I guess)
