So I'm finally sick of my Mesa DC-5 enough to get rid of it. Besides, it's too big for a bedroom guitaris like me.
After looking around for a long while, I had only 2 runner-ups left (tone-wise, feature-wise and price-wise) - Rivera Clubster 25 and Zinky Blue Velvet 25. I finally got my hands on Zinky this past Saturday in Philly (according to the company, there wasn't a single amp for me to try anywhere closer). I didn't have a lot of time to play with it, but I didn't like a) tone controls (single knob+switch instead of 3 knobs per channel) b) the fact that it's noisy.
Clubster, on the other hand, has none of these problems.
Sound-wise, they are pretty similar, Zinky being slighly muddier (maybe due to tone controls).
I'm leaning towards Clubster right now.
So if anybody who actually owns(owned) either Clubster or Blue Velvet could comment on their experience, I would be extremly greatful.
