This is going to be my second bass I ordered from ernieball. I was looking for something a little simpler and classic and came up with this configuration.

Red Stingray
Maple Neck
2-band eq
clear pickguard (untill i can find a creamy or gold tinted white pickguard)

I would just pick one up used but it's not the most common configration with the 2-band and all, and Brandt gave me a quote I can't pass up.

Minds almost made up except for the exact color..

I prefer solid finishes but the Candy Apple Red sometimes appears darker than what I'm looking for. This isn't always and all I have to just from is pictures, now I did see one forumee who's pretty popular on here though I can't remember who has a CAR bongo and his pictures look perfect!

Trans red often looks nice and appears lighter but I'm not a fan of woodgrain finishes.

Or last option... Should I hold out for the Stingray Classic? I heard there would be a fiesta red, but I can't imagine what it's going to look like a creamy red would be perfect! Looking at picktures of you know who's fiesta red sometimes it looks good. Sometimes it appears orrange or pink, so I'm not sure what to do!

I wish ernieball would send me a sneak peak of the fiesta red stingray so I can place my order now but I guess I have to wait a few more weeks..

I want to place this order asap as 4months is going to kill me!!!

Fiesta red is pretty but it isn't red enough for me. If I were to get a red Ray I will order Trans red, CAR or Black Cherry Burst. BTW, I used to have a BCB SR5HH. It was one of the prettiest basses I ever owned.

A note on your pickguard choice: Not available from EBMM.

Really? The perfect bass offers it and I'm ordering through them, unless you mean the creamy one I described, yea I know that doesn't exist but if there's a will there's a way.

TPB must be offering it as an aftermarket. There are no clear PGs @ the EBMM website the last time I checked.

Being so close in date for their release, I'd probably hold out to see what the Vintage 'Ray series offers...

I just now noticed that EBMM discontinued a lot of the pickguards also.

Yea, I seen a few pictures of Red/maple stingrays with clear pickguards, I know it doesn't quite go with my classic vibe but it does look GOOD.

Candy Apple Red is a really nice Red Color, I don't think you wold be disappointed seeing the bass in color. I wouldn't mind having a CAR Bongo. Now that I am saving for my next bass, I am thinking something in a tobacco burst.

Here's some Candy Red, I don't think there is anything creamy in fiesta red, I see fiesta as an orange/red, with a maple neck and a cream guard would be my dream, but I doubt we'll ever see any 5 banger in that color.

From what I imagine Fiesta Red to be, I also think it will be more of an orange/red. I prefer the Candy Apple Red and it looks great with a maple fingerboard.
