Off Topic Getting anxious.. Albert Lee HH

Oh gosh.. I'm here licking my chops and my Albert Lee HH should be half-way done by now.. I'm just getting super hyped about it.. This decision for my first brand new American Made MM came from a long decision process and a lot of insight from deep with the execs of EBMM.. For the music I do and record this is perfect.. but I've heard multiple times that the Albert is a all around great guitar and one of the best of all times.. Anyone wanna add in? I'm already thinking about my next purchase. Most likely a GC. Wow, a Albert Lee HH- GC would melt me.. Aloha from Hawaii folks. RJ

You certainly won't be disappointed with the AL HH, good choice! My first MM was a JP, after that an AL HH. I liked it so much an AL HH with roasted neck and an AL MM90 followed soon... Just warning you..

Gosh... Here in Hawaii Reggae is the all rage but I've been mixing it up lately since I have the musicians Institute background in my blood its been easy for me to change genres and kind of hybrid all of them together. I think the Albert Lee HH will fit in where ever I decide to take my set. And yes those mm90s looks sweet,, And the thing with those mm90 models or the single coil models they can be fitted with a piezo pick up system also... So it's definitely in the running for the next purchase for sure.

Yes halfway bro! Brother Derek Brooks took my order himself.. And before I even made my decision I conferred with Brian Ball and Kevin Scoles themselves. It was a long decision process cause I wanted to make sure I covered all bases and really took the time to understand what I needed as far as "my sound" and what the guitar was gonna supply me with but I'm super stoked with what I ended up deciding on and I can't wait to get my hands on it. I'm so psyched out I even started practicing my flatpicking even more. LOL.. Thx for the thoughts

We played a HH AL - and man it was such a great guitar.

Please make sure you post a picture when you get it.

I'll be gigging my SSS AL tonight and it will be the only guitar with me.

@spudmurphy awesome.. Have a good one bro.. One thing I can say for sure is that EBMM and even SBMM are some of the most nicest and classiest companies I represent.. I'm a endorsee for few companies including PreSonus,PedalTrain,Dunlop (mxr) etc.. But from the first day I signed on with EBMM they were so helpful and genuine.. And they stay in contact with their artist and make sure they're all good.. And I see the trickle effect going down the chain to even their customers.. Amazing company! I am proud to play their instruments.. For neck through guitars I use Michael kelly who has also been amazing peeps to work with.. Aloha bro..have a good gig! You made a good choice. The Al HH has the ability to do Reggae very well. It can also scream or growl as you want. It's my next guitar and I've played a bunch of them (including the GC prototype a couple years ago).

I would suggest that you start looking at the regular Al SSS. It is equally awesome. I've found that if I take 3 other awesome SSS guitars and put them together, the Al still beats the three of them with room to spare.

Of course the one that hasn't been available is the Al HSS (eye's Pete DuBaldo's Al HSS)

Thanks brother.. Everyday as I look around the web or talk to folks who have knowledge about the subject they've all said hat you've said.. Being in Hawaii and on my island it's not always that easy to experience guitars on the level as if we would have a guitar center here. There's probably about six music stores on the whole island which pretty much sells out of date stuff. And even their old stuff ain't really worth looking at more than once a year. But I've been fortunate enough to know Ernie Ball's eldest son Sherwood on a personal level so I had the chance to try out a few guitars that he owns. From the original Luke to the game changer there are differences but I would think mostly in the neck situation. I did try the L3 on my neighbor Island where there's actually a city. LOL But all in all and when all is said and done I feeling I've made a very sturdy and comfortable choice with the Albert HH guitar. Now I just can't wait for it to come in. Aloha

Spud, I'd like to go up there one day but their prices do look a bit......salty?

I should really have said that I'd like to find a 'used' one as I've dropped a lot of dosh on brand new AL MM90 and Silo's in the last couple of months and I'm trying to show some restraint.
