And one more thing phil lynott said " always go on stage smelling good" since then I always stick on a bit of old spice just before I walk on !!

Thanks for all your help guys :) The gig went very well as it does every year there were a few hiccups due to the "sound engineer" and the band could hardly hear each other properly but we pulled it off. And I tried not to apologise to the audience this time especially as when I got the stage everyone said good job. Plus I got a TON of amazing comments on my bongo :) it was definitely the star of the show and won the prize for flashiest instrument :p and a lot of comments on the song especially when they found out the guitarist wrote and that that day was actually the first time I had even met the singer.

I tried not to just stand there all the time and remembered to smile and bob my head but for some reason i wasnt allowed to change their cable for my own so i wasnt able to actually move around the stage much.

So once again, thanks for all the help and even though I'm not playing professionally yet I am going to a music school in england next year full time for bass so hopefully i'll be playing professionally eventually and I'll be looking up this thread to remind my self of all the advice. I had so much fun though even though it was just a school talent show and wish I was back on that stage jamming with my friends and smiling.

As soon as I get pics (and maybe even a video) i'll post them on a new thread if i find out how to...
