In search of a good quality gig bag where I won't have to remove the tremolo arm from my Axis... Seems like I remember seeing a thread on this a while back but can't seem to find it. Any suggestions on a bag?

I've got a Mono double bag, like this one: Classic Dual Electric Guitar Case, Black

– MONO

I have never removed the tremolo arm from my Axis, and usually tune it once every 6 months, if I don't change strings in the meantime, so it's safe to say that the Mono bag doesn't do any harm. Oh, it comes as a single bag as well, obviously.

For years I've just shoved my guitar into whatever gigbag I had without taking the trem arm off. Yeah, it can wear a hole or indentation in some cases over time but is of no consequence to the guitar at all.

FWIW, I also have a Mono Guitar Sleeve gig bag (in Ash Grey because it's so damn handsome). Great case, even if the flap and buckle and side-opening pocket are a triumph of form over function. Yes, it's very pricey, but it's also very very good.
