It's true...

My "once a month or so" Band somehow found itself gigging five weeks in a row. It's our "Fall Tour" in the NY/NJ area - four of the five shows are open to the public.

It all starts this Saturday in Staten Island at a place called Afternoone's. The following four weeks we're in central and northern New Jersey. Check out the dates / times / places at our website: Phil 'n the Void! - 'n the Dates

If you do make it out to see us, please be sure to say "Hi!"

Peace,

Anthony

Excellent, Anthony! I'll try to make it to one of the shows and say hi.

My band is busy too... Not to the point of a show a week (ouch!) but we're as busy as we want to be. We all must be doing something right.

We've got a gig this Saturday in White Plains, and three more coming up in October.

Still waiting confirmation of our second "Bristol Street Gig" in a weeks time but that will be 2 gigs in 2 weeks and that's, well, world domination as far as I'm concerned :D

Baby steps...

We're considering a 4-night in a row "tour" for next summer and an 8-day in a row New Jersey to Texas and back tour for 2011. :D

Have fun Anthony. That is the important part.

I'd say it looks like it was fun...

So yes - we had lots of fun! Tough gig for me though; I was in the office at 7:45 AM with a Production conversion event that ran until 4:00PM. Got home in time to brush my teeth and jump in the truck to head out to Staten Island (some 75 miles away!).

We set-up and had time for a decent, albeit rushed dinner before going on at 10:30 PM. Three sets wrapping-up the last one at 2:00AM.

Pack-up, 75 miles home - I'm in bed at 4:30 AM (my lead guitarist had a similar crazy day and hit the pillow at 5:00 AM).

But fun indeed! A few pictures right here: 9/12 @ Afternoone's in Staten Island, NY

Tomorrow we're doing an outdoor carnival - forecast is a perfect day / 75 degrees! I am planning to give my HSp some love - it's been sitting side-stage as a back-up bass for every gig since the HH arrived 2 years ago; I think it deserves some spotlight-time! :)

Love that bongo :D

Some good pics there Anthony, keep them coming

Thanks - will do!

By the way, how do you find the HSp live? How do you set it up tonewise?

I am pretty easy to please tone-wise (Bongo helps!) and go 50/50/50 with both the HHp and the HSp - I generally just bump some of the mid-band if I am not hearing myself clearly in the mix.

Tour Date #2 - Walking on Sunshine...

Much easier gig today... Event was 1PM - 5PM; we played two sets, an hour each. One at 2:00PM and one at 3:30PM.

Set-up and sound check went smooth - weather was very cooperative. It felt good to finally play in the sun. Sapphire Black HSp was awesome.

I'll have pics up tomorrow night... Watching the long range forecast for next Saturday...

Pics up from Saturday's gig right here: Phil 'n the Void! - pics_090920

I broke-out the HSp and found myself wondering "why has it been so long!?" Needless to say, I'm now thinking I will regularly rotate between both Bongos for the foreseeable future.

Here's the silly "me and my cousin" shot of the week:

Next up, outdoor private party fund-raiser on Saturday (weather looking good again!). :D

Tonight's a Big One...

Tour date #3 was a private party - no pics, but we had a great time despite the threatening weather (we were outdoors on a large deck). We were asked to play on an additional hour and were paid very well. :D

Now, tonight is Tour date #4 at Rhythm's in Manville, NJ. For the NY/NJ folks interested in say "Hi! ", this is the one you'd want to see.

Details at Phil 'n the Void! - 'n the Dates

Thanks!
