Help I don't know what's happening to me!!! For years I have been playing my ASS and it has fit me like a glove. All my live work and the majority of the studio stuff is with the ASS.

But something strange has started to come over me I am now reaching for the silo and the sub more and more. They hang realy well when standing. The neck profile is v comfortable. They sound great. But my ASS is my baby!

I am trying to fight the change but I am getting hooked and even thought about taking Brand X up on his swap offer.

Am I turning into Beej????

Could I be after a 20th to feed my addiction?

Anyone else gone through the "CHANGE"?

Same here....was playing my Axis almost exclusively for several years, but have been using the JP6, Luke & AL so much I don't think I have played the Axis in months

I’ve only played Axis guitars for the past 5 years and now I want to change.

I’m currently actively looking to trade it for a Luke or preferably a Reflex.

Yep. I had 4 Axis' and picked up my first 25th with hesitation about the trem vs the FR. I couldn't be happier with the change. Axis are still great, but the 25th has that tone and more (plus the forearm cut I desperately wanted). String changes are quicker as well.

Variety is a good thing! I Love having 3 completely different Balls. However some work better for you than others. Over time I found out what works best for me, playing different Balls and owning a few. I've been pondering the idea of swapping my 20th Silo for an HH AL, even though I love that guitar. I just prefer 22 frets and a 5 way switch. But I will hang on to it, since I do love it and it is very special.

Wait till you try a protrack in the neck and a tonezone s in the bridge of your solo spec. Then the change will be permanent!!!

Their is nothing wrong with you John as just about all of us go through a phase and wind up playing a different guitar, which usually leads you down a different road playing and tone wise.I would never sell off a guitar that I have a bond with, instead I would wait till I could buy the other model.Personally to me every guitar is different even if you have two of the same exact model you will favor one over the other, but if you are reaching for the Silo or Sub just put the ASS away and go with it until it hits you to come back to it. Though I own a nice herd of guitars I went through phases of with a lot of #1s all of which I still have. To be honest there are not many prominent players who have had a long career that I can think of who only played one model guitar, though they may be associated with a certain model.

Steve Morse :) I think the big problem is that we are all addicted to these Balls, and BP is constantly churning out new things. The other problem is that the wallet cannot handle so much haha. I'm working on that though. One day I will have a room full of Balls. Til that day I can only have the ones that suit my style and playing best.
