You cant go wrong with any of them Chuck.

Really just depends on your wattage needs.

Id recommend the 1001RB-II or Fusion 550 when they come out.

OK, I missed a hell of a deal on a 800RB... I ain't going to let it happen again. So what models do I need to look for. I want the light weight and power of a GK.

Thanks,
You can't go wrong with the 1001RBII. Enough power for pretty much anything and only 22 lbs.If you want the Mother Lode go for 2001RB!!

1001RBII is killer!!!!!!! But the 800 has the trademark GK sound - the 1001 is close to it but just a bit off (and I mean just a bit). Can't go wrong either way... but I recommend the 2001RB :D

Hey Chuck, I wish you could come on down to Texas and help me dial in my 1001RBII this Saturday. I'm liking what I'm hearing but I still need to tweak it a little bit.

The venue that we are playing this week is larger than the first one that I played with the new GK rig. I should be able to strech it's legs a bit this time. I'm still adjusting the knobs on everything but the EQ. I'm keeping it flat for now.

The only thing about it is that I don't get to use it for anything but the shows. Rehearsals just don't help any at all. I think I had it sounding pretty good at the last show but I'm going to get out front during sound check this week and see if I can really hone in on the sound I want.

Larry, I wish I could come down and just hang out with ya and go hear your band. I've got to plan a trip!

I don't need another amp, but hearing you boys go on about the GK boxes and the light weight, has perked my interest. After Lacrosse season, I'm going to hunt for another bass gig, and if that happens, my old tired butt will need something loud and light.:D

I opened one time for a kid that had a 400 whatever GK into a 2x12. He covered a big gig easily with it and sounded good. He had an SR4 plugged into it.

GK stuff is good stuff I know. I don't play it but I know.

I have had a 400RB Mark IV head into their 2x10 cab for the best part of two years now. I play my SR4 into it and from day one I have always used the -db cut and it is still way loud enough for my needs. However, I am only using it for my onstage sound. Our Mackie PA does the hard work and we keep the sound on stage acceptable.

The only problem I have with wireless is that any time the home phone rings - they are wireless as well, my wireless PC connection goes down!!!! Takes a couple of minutes before it comes back up - which is a real pain in the but if you are monitoring Ebay or are in the middle of writing a post.

Thanks for all the help guys, I needed info, you all gave it to me and now I feel like I can safely shop for a GK. I'm still looking for a used set up to get my feet wet. I also doubt that I'll ever hump that Ampeg 810e to a gig, but if I had one of these greal little GK's that would go well with my Ashdown 410H... right?:D
