Thanks for posting the photos, Keith. My Oh My, I think I'm gonna have regrets about not ordering a roasted neck.

Hmm...I notice there is a JP in Mystic Dream with a roasted neck. Wondering if EBMM are planning on having the roasted neck become a regular option.

Scott, That is a MD Roasted! While with BP and crew never say never, right now roasted will not be a regular option, again at least for now.

Now since there sems to be some confusion about the MD JP, let me explain it the way it was presented to me at the show!

Guitar Center wanted a roasted guitar and bass for this show, to show them off and prep people for whats to come:D

Anyways the did not have a black sugar body ready for the JP so Scott placed the roasted neck on a MD JP body and well there you go roasted MD.

And again my crazy CFB arse bought it.

Guys these roasted necks are going to be fantatic.

Thanks for the info, Keith. And congrats on the new ball. That's a pretty rare guitar. I believe you're in on of a kind territory. I was reading through the post and totally missed reading about your purchase. I guess I was caught up with all the pictures.:D

When you decide to sell. I get first dibs.:D;)

Keith,

I know you didn't order a roasted neck originally and like me, I'm sure a lot of people were laughing thinking you'd get one.
BUT we would never have guessed you would have gotten one before everyone else, and a one off to boot as well! :p
Congrats!

Oh and one more plug for the show, the GC booth was JP heavy and awesome, not sure whats left but the bahama blue was one of the 50 made for GC, it was #10.

Also the koa was awesome and these JP's were priced to sell, my roasted was an awesome deal, so call and get one show ends in a couple hours:)

I was today there. Sadly there were not many EBMM guitars left and the GC was the only shop wo had EBMM at the convention.
Roasted Necks are looking awesome, but I still prefer an unfinished, waxed neck.

What do frets have to do with it....

Well the point of a compensated nut is to compensate for the tempered tuning of the instrument, because of the frets, to improve intonation. With a fretless, there are no frets, so the intonation is controlled by the player, similar to a violin, so I didn't think a compensated nut would be necessary. Unless there's something else I'm overlooking?

Keith you fing kill me, first you are not sure you are even getting one and now you have the first one home, and a one off to boot.lol Congrats my friend it is a beautiful ax!

it's the FING factor...

he sees and then buys everything FING new guitar like a week after they're released...

but honestly... Keith is a great guy and couldn't ask for a nicer guy to get these special one offs... just being at the right place at the right time with a grip of resources always helps... LOL!!!
