What's with some bass players and a glove (usually no finger tip and a tight fit leather) on their plucking hand. I've now seen this on Louis Johnson and Rhonda Smith in videos. Someone care explaining this to me? And it's only on the plucking hand (right), not the fretting hand (left).

Easy - they were probably hoping to audition for Michael Jackson :D

Hmm. I was actually thinking of doing something like that, with a regular glove tho. It's cuz my hands can get cold and very easily, too. With a glove I could keep my hands a bit warmer and hlep out with dexterity. The tips would be cut off so the bits of the glove wouldn't get stuck in the winds of the strings. Of course, that's just me. :p

Must be to have a smoother tone, because the glove is "cushioning" (sorry I don't know the right word) the hit on the strings.
