The three-way switch on my Sterling has suffered a couple times from having the plastic knob pop off. Is there an adhesive that I can use on it - it's no big deal and it rarely happens, but I would like to take care of it all the same. (I hardly think this merits a trip to the shop or anything.)

If it were me - I would put one drop of crazy glue on the post and pop your knob back on. Fixed in 10 seconds.

I would try something like Elmer's first, before something like Crazy Glue...considering that you might have to remove it someday.

spend $1.79 at your local guitar store and buy a fresh knob. pushing a plastic piece back and forth on a metal blade will wear it out. but a fresh tight one will say on for a couple years..its a reasonable investment and much cheaper than potentially jacking up something with glue

One drop of crazy glue aint going to hurt anything - and you can still pop the knob back off later if req'd. Anyway - small problem, easily fixed by various methods.

It's a common plastic tip, just go buy a new one at your local giutar shop.
I'd be a concerned the old one is stretched or a little torn from being yanked off so many times.
