find a 2005le stingray and you get a black bass with gold hardware ;)

also i think gc had a special run with blue color with white racing stripes that had gold hardware. might wanna check with zombi, the local gc resident ;)

I think the La Mesa GC had something with gold hardware on it. Check it out.

Astoria, NY GC has the blue/gold SR5 last time I was there.

Edit: now I see you are from SD...someone else on the east coast might take interest....

So I payed the one at the La Mesa GC, wow what a bass! White SLO SR with a maple board and GOLD HARDWARE, she's comin' home...

Oh and it's my first SR!!!!!

...so the gold hardware looks awesome and classy on every bass, but if You'll use this bass as "long mileage" working horse, ...don't buy that!

If You have more than one bass and will use this gold hardware bass just time after time and for collection reasons, ...than buy it! ;)

I'm writing this 'cause have a bad experience with one of my previous basses with 22 karat gold plated hardware, after hard'n'long working horse usage I've destroyed almost all golden finish and bass was looking awful!

This has been discussed before. Obviously, your "previous bass" wasn't done by EBMM...:rolleyes:

My 2006 LE Ray's gold hardware is still in excellent condition. When I clean/polish the bass with guitar polish - I include the hardware. I suppose this reduces oxidation - and keeping finger oils and gunk off the hardware can't hurt either. ;)
