Hi Folks, I have had my Axis SS since last Aug. I love it, but I would really like to get it set up by a good tech. I live halfway in between Memphis and Nashville. Can anyone recommend a good tech (preferably in the Memphis area)
that I could take it to? Any info would be greatly appreciated! God Bless!

How About Florida?

I'm actually afraid to take mine in to any of our locals. I took one of my guitars to "the best" around here for some electronics work, and got parts and workmanship of questionable quality - a year or so later the five-way switch doesn't work very well, the new jack cuts out, etc. I get paid because I have experience and education in my chosen field. Shouldn't I get an expert for my $$$? It seems like some of the guitar stores will let anyone work on guitars.

Where I live we have Augustino Loprinzi, one of the best luthiers in the world for acoustic guitars, but I don't know anyone for electrics.

Maybe I should get some books and become my own guitar tech. You'd think that after 24 years of playing I'd know a more than how to change strings and resolder jacks, but that's it - I've always been scared to start messing with truss rods.

If anyone knows a master guitar tech in West Central Florida, plz let me know.

Edensdad, that's what everybody here seems to recommend and I've been going to pickup the book and start looking into doing my own setups.

Here it is on Amazon.
