Congrats~! That is very cool. It's a great feeling to nail an "audition". You should be psyched. Glad your music director KNOWS HE NEEDS A GOOD BASS PLAYER!

I'm an old vet now -- but I guess I put myself through school with the "extracurricular" music scholarship -- which meant playing lots of gigs around the campus for $. Couldn't have done it otherwise!

That is fantastic news Andrew. Those Peavey rigs just keep following you throughout your career don't they?

:D

Many thanks to everyone. :D :D :D

I ended up going to a community college down here for 2 years to knock out my core classes and whatsuch.

What'd I play for him? Well, he handed me a piece of music, I looked at it and realized it was just a basic blues tune. He says, "On those whole notes, just do a little walking if you know how." He was gettin' the stankface listening to us play. He likes the way I walk. :p

That rules Stank! Man I had to play a bach piece for my community college scholarship! It was worth it though that money was a huge help! :D Everyone I had music theory with was pretty cool except for those damned college street singers. There the most hyper peppy people on the planet. I think there blood must be pure crank. Just curious is it a requirement for music major's to take piano where you're attending?
