Wow-I feel like I'm copying Andrew here, but hey...

I learned this morning that I got into one of the two jazz bands at Ohio University-it doesn't come with any cool financial bonus or anything, but I'm still incredibly stoked about it! It's nice to be able to get out and perform on bass in that kind of setting.

Also, I've been jamming with a guy on my floor who's an incredible drummer, and it looks like we might be exploring the viability of gigging-all we need is a guitarist or two, and I think we could make a great group.

So, good times. College is great.

Yeah nice one matey - playing more often always helps. I always find playing jazz helps the ear and makes me think more.

Turns out I know one of the drummers in the jazz band from college orientation-so that makes things a little easier. I'm really looking forward to the first rehearsal tomorrow.
